PMC Civics: Creating Access to Justice, Together

Every young person deserves a seat behind the bench. At Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, our Behind the Bench summer high school program allows students to attend hearings, interview legal professionals, and envision themselves as the future of justice for an entire month.

If no one in your family is a lawyer, a judge, or even remotely involved in the legal world, the path to law school can feel intimidating. That’s where Behind the Bench program comes in. 

We’re making the legal field tangible by connecting students with real mentors, real courtrooms, and real opportunities. But we cannot do that alone.

Even when the commitment is there, the path to law can still feel out of reach. 

Leaving unpaid positions, daily transportation costs, and the price of lunch can all become barriers that keep students from saying yes to this opportunity. Here is how you can support PMC in dismantling these barriers.
