Judicial Independence Benefit 2025
PMC's tenth annual Judicial Independence Benefit was held on November 17, 2025 using a hybrid format at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.

The event's keynote speaker was Mara Liasson. Mara Liasson is the senior national political correspondent for NPR. Her reports can be heard regularly on NPR's award-winning newsmagazine programs Morning Edition and All Things Considered as well as the NPR Politics podcast. Liasson provides extensive coverage of politics and policy from Washington, DC, focusing on the White House and Congress, and also reports on political trends beyond the Beltway. Each election year, Liasson provides key coverage of the candidates and issues in both presidential and congressional races. During her tenure she has covered nine presidential elections.
The recipient of the 2025 Judge Edmund B. Spaeth, Jr. Award was the Honorable Jane Cutler Greenspan (Ret.). Justice Greenspan joined the JAMS panel following a distinguished judicial and legal career spanning more than three decades. She served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, as a Judge in the Trial Division of the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, and as a Unit Chief Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Justice Greenspan has also used her extensive legal experience to conduct moot courts for appellate matters and oversee mock arguments.
