IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Spring into Action Benefit was originally scheduled for April 16, 2020. It was postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis and will now be held as a virtual event on May 21, 2020. If you have already reserved a sponsorship or ticket, you do not need to register again. All sponsors and ticket holders will receive information about accessing the event online in the coming weeks.

On Thursday, May 21, 2020, Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts will hold its third annual Spring into Action Benefit from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. It will be held as a virtual event, due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Geovette Washington, Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of the University of Pittsburgh and a member of PMC's Board of Advisors, will be awarded the 2020 Judge Justin Johnson Award for her commitment to PMC's mission and involvement in civic engagement initiatives throughout Pittsburgh.

Heather Lyke, Director of Athletics at the University of Pittsburgh, will be the event's keynote speaker. Since her arrival in March 2017, Heather has dramatically reenergized Pitt Athletics, recruiting eight new head coaches and directing a dynamic rebrand of the University's athletics. She unveiled Pitt Studios, the department's state-of-the-art broadcast production facilities that support the University's first-ever broadcast and media studies curriculum. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and is a frequent speaker at national conferences. Heather also serves on various boards across collegiate athletics.

We hope that you will consider supporting fair courts and judicial independence by reserving a sponsorship or ticket HERE.
