PMC Shares™ Family Court Workshop | Allegheny County | ACLL & CLP

Child holding parents' hands

When it comes to the sensitive topic of parents and children going to court, better knowledge of the court system and your rights help prepare you for the justice system and for any of its outcomes. This program will cover three topics of Family Court: Dependency, Divorce, Child Custody, and Child Support. Dependency refers to whether the caregiver is serving as an adequate guardian for a “dependent” or child. The Child Custody portion discusses disputes between parents and/or other caregivers over their rights to a child’s custody. The Child Support presentation provides insight into the legal responsibilities of parents in supporting their children.
