Pennsylvanians are Sending a Message

Democratic committeeperson, Karen Bojar, says that the least enjoyable part of her job is recommending judicial candidates. In her letter to the editor in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Bojar praises Walter Phillips’ op-ed on judicial selection reform. She points out how difficult it is to obtain relevant and dependable information about the candidates and how few voters actually participate in judicial elections. “One interpretation is that the people are sending a message that they do not want to elect judges.” Pennsylvanians deserve the opportunity to decide for themselves whether there is a better way to select judges.
