In an effort to increase public awareness, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s advisory procedural rules committees have created a twitter account. This account is specifically for proposed rules. Rule making proposals will continue to be accessible at www.pacourts.us. This effort will not only provide another access to the general public, but it will also provide an opportunity for public comment and participation. The advisory committees meet to review rules and advise the Supreme Court several times a year. After the public’s comment opportunity, the committees submit recommendations to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is not bound by the recommendations; it may revise, accept, or reject the recommendations.
Follow @SCOPARules for new updates on proposed rules and @PACourts for the court’s general information. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has its own twitter account, @SupremeCtofPA.
For more information on this change, see the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts’ statement.
