Ciavarella Sentenced to 28 Years

Former Luzerne County Judge Mark A. Ciavarella Jr. was sentenced this morning to 28 years in federal prison. In February, a federal jury convicted Ciaverella of 12 counts of corruption including racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, honest services mail fraud, money laundering conspiracy and a host of tax fraud charges.
