The Supreme Court, the Governor and the legislative leaders of both parties shared the power to appoint members to the Commission. The Commission is charged with recommending how to implement the Final Report of the Supreme Court Committee on Racial and Gender Bias in the Justice System.  The Commission is also responsible for raising public awareness of the impact of race, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation or disability on the fair delivery of justice in the Commonwealth.
