At the annual conference of the Pennsylvania County Commissioners Association, county commissioners from across the state called on the General Assembly to increase funding for the judicial system. The Association is asking the state to appropriate approximately $8.5 million to help reimburse counties for the expense of having judges and full time district attorneys.
The call was was included in the Association's new platform. The platform also includes support for the creating county criminal justice advisory boards, tasked with creating new ways to deal with drug and alcohol problems.
