During the second week of May Pennsylvania celebrated Juror Appreciation Week, and Philadelphia observed a special Juror Appreciation Day May 8.
 
This year marked the 9th Juror Appreciation Day co-sponsored by PMC and the Philadelphia Court system.  The special morning program celebrated jurors and allowed the judges and local officials  to demonstrate their appreciation for the citizens who come out to serve each day.  Such recognition demonstrates the critical importance of juries to our justice system.  The keynote speaker was WPVI weekend anchor Jessica Borg, who spoke to the jurors about her own recent jury duty experience.
